I started off at Loughborough College and attended a two year course called BTEC National Diploma in Sport Studies. I had to do some subjects that didn't really interest me like sports development and sporting IT, but then I was able to take part in the subjects that really did interest me, these being sports injuries, sport massage and sports first aid. After passing sports injuries with a merit and sports massage with a distinction I was then able to do the final step: Equine sports massage. I was taught by Gilliyan Carter of Equi-Therapy uk, and I have been working since in the east midlands area, which I am enjoying a great deal.
I have been around horses for over 10 years, starting off in a local riding yard helping to muck out in exchange for the occasional ride. I now have one horse of my own, and we compete in cross country and take part in charity and pleasure rides.
